According to of the International Ecotourism Society (TIES) definition, ecotourism is a trip to natural areas with protected environments with emphasis on local’s welfare.
Wonderful attractions such as seaside and riversides, mountains, caves, deserts, anthropology, nature therapy that has experienced growth by 20% of total global tourism.
Whereas geotourism is an independent form of tourism with some of the attractions overlapping with ecotourism that covers all the infrastructure of tourism industry, including change, management, accommodation, tours and etc.; and generally, deals with insentient biology and geology attractions.
Guiding tourists to organized geosites and geoparks with sustainable socio-cultural and economic development strategy are one of the cases that should be taken into consideration by the tourism activists of countries.
Attractive phenomena such as: volcanos, karst caves, geothermal and hydrothermal fountains,
cracks and faults, salt domes, mud volcanos, animal and plat fossils and etc. are number of phenomena for attracting specialized and public tourists in this sector.
